Care should be taken when assembling any product. All Pagoda garden furniture items are designed to resist the weather. However, in order to fully appreciate your furniture there are a few steps to maintain your Pagoda garden furniture in premium condition. The below information contains advice and safety guidelines which you are strongly advised to follow: • Any moving joints and hinges should be oiled/lubricated periodically with a proprietary brand synthetic oil or lubricant. • Untreated scratches/chips in painted finishes of steel furniture will rust and may spread further under remaining paintwork. If paint surface is damaged, we recommend that the affected area is cleaned and re-coated with a proprietary brand metal paint in matching colour. • To avoid excessive fading, keep out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods and wipe off any dirt or grease with a mild detergent solution. WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT A PRESSURE WASHER IS NOT USED AS DAMAGE MAY OCCUR. • To prolong the life of your furniture and avoid possible contamination or damage, we advise that the product is stored or covered (using a furniture cover) when not in use. Even if a weather cover is used; we recommend that all cushions should be stored indoors when not in use. Canopy roofs should be removed to limit weathering. • Gazebos are not permanent structures. They are designed to provide temporary shade and must not be left erected outside for prolonged periods of time. The steel stakes are to aid stability and are not intended to anchor the item in strong winds. The material is not waterproof and the gazebo should not be used as a shelter. • All glass tables must be protected during winter. • Hot and cold items should not be placed directly on to the glass table top and a coaster should be used. Concentrated/focused sunlight beams may occur from glass objects placed in direct sunlight. These beams, if left unnoticed, can cause heat damage. The table-top glass itself does not cause these concentrated/focused beams so it is the users responsibilty to keep a close eye on any surrounding glass objects and ensure there are no visible focused sunlight spots present. • Prior to covering or storing, ensure that the all parts of your furniture (Frames/cushions/padded & unpadded textilene) are completely dry. Covering or storing when damp may allow mould to grow. If mould occurs, this is usually due to cold & damp conditions. Affected areas should be cleaned and thoroughly dried as soon as possible to ensure no additional damage occurs. • Check all fittings regularly; over time bolts and screws may loosen. Tighten whenever required. • PAGODA GARDEN FURNITURE IS DESIGNED FOR DOMESTIC USE ONLY. Parasols in general must be secured in a suitable parasol base. Remember to close and remove parasols & cantilever parasols in windy/gusty conditions, and throughout winter. We cannot accept liability for damage caused by tables toppling or buckling due to such weather conditions.If parasols get wet, leave them open to dry out. We suggest that all parasols & cantilever parasols are carefully taken down and stored when not in use. If the canopy becomes dirty from being left outside, do NOT remove the fabric to wash. Simply use a soapy sponge and gently hose. Parasols should not be used as umbrellas. • • Recliners and loungers should only be used and/or operated by one person at any time. Always use slow, careful movements when adjusting recliner chairs & loungers. NEVER use excessive force and ALWAYS support/distribute your weight evenly. ALWAYS ensure both armrests are pushed down in the locked position before using your recliner chair/lounger. General Warranty Conditions: • The warranty applies to the original purchaser from the date of purchase and covers manufacturing faults and defects only. • Pagoda reserves the right to substitute failed items with a similar product should the model or colour no longer be available. Any replacement will be for the failed item only not a complete set. • The original warranty period is not extended in the event of a repair, refinish or replacement. • In the event of a failure, it is the customer’s responsibility to return the item to the store of purchase along with a copy of the receipt. • Warranty specifically excludes general wear and tear, rusting of steel components and parts, corrosion, commercial use and damage caused as a result of failure to observe reasonable care, maintenance and assembly instructions for both furniture and hardware. • All the glass supplied with our furniture is toughened however may break/shatter when exposed to an impact. This is not specific to Pagoda. • The glass is not covered by the warranty. • Fabrics and synthetic wicker may fade when left in the sun due to ultra violet light breaking down the colours. It is not possible to prevent this from occurring. It is advised that the cushions are removed once the item is not in use and stored indoors. This does not affect your statutory rights.
