Replacing old, discoloured or mouldy shower sealant is an important part of maintaining a clean, watertight bathroom. UniBond Kitchen & Bathroom Anti-Mould Silicone Sealant White 274g provides a strong, flexible and waterproof seal for areas regularly exposed to moisture.

Specially formulated for bathrooms, kitchens and other humid environments, this white anti-mould silicone sealant contains a mould-resistant ingredient that helps prevent unsightly mould growth on the finished seal. It is ideal for resealing around showers, baths, washbasins, toilets, kitchen sinks, worktops and suitable tiled joints.

Unlike rigid fillers, this sanitary silicone remains permanently flexible once cured, helping accommodate normal movement around bathroom and kitchen fittings while maintaining a durable seal.

The high-adhesion formula creates a neat white finish that complements bathroom ceramics and sanitary fittings. Applied using a standard sealant gun, it becomes touch dry in approximately 20 minutes and is normally fully dry within 24 hours, depending on application conditions.

How to Use

1. Remove existing silicone sealant completely, along with any mould, dirt, grease or loose material.

2. Ensure the application surfaces are thoroughly clean and dry before starting.

3. Cut the cartridge tip above the screw thread and trim the nozzle at approximately 45 degrees to achieve the required bead width.

4. Attach the nozzle and insert the cartridge into a suitable sealant gun.

5. Apply a continuous, even bead along the joint, ensuring good contact with both surfaces.

6. Smooth the sealant immediately using a suitable sealant smoothing tool.

7. Remove any masking tape before a surface skin forms.

8. Allow approximately 24 hours for drying before exposing the seal to water, following the instructions on the packaging.

Regularly clean the finished seal to remove soap residue and help maintain its mould-resistant appearance.
