Slugs Away Wool Mat 1.2m x 0.8m STV059

The Slugs Away Wool Mat is poison free way to control slugs and 100% organic and biodegradable. Suitable for use around fruit and vegetables without impacting on growth. The pressed woven fibres will supress weeds while still allowing for continued growth. The mat can be cut to size and used around established plants, alternatively you place the whole mat to the ground you’re planning to plant and cut slits into it when in position for seeds and crops to be planted into.

The fibres irritate the body of slugs and snails and draw moisture away from them stopping and deterring the slugs.

How to use:

In an unplanted area:

1. Cut wool mat to size and lay over damp soil
2. Secure edges with pegs, staples or other weed suppressant material (not supplied)
3. Cut slits in the material as required for planting through
4. Water as needed and check regularly to ensure intended growth through slits

In a planted area:

1. Cut sections of wool mat to fit between and around the plants and secure with pegs or staples (not supplied)
2. Ensure that the soil is sufficiently covered with no gaps
